Breccia
Breccia is Deering’s own literary magazine! It’s filled with student short stories, poems, and artwork, and is published annually, near the end of the school year. The first Breccia was published in 1874. Breccia has won several awards, including the NCTE award for Recognizing Excellence in the Art and Literary Magazines created by students. Since its inception, Breccia has been 100% by the students and for the students. You can help us shape the future of this great Deering institution.

Breccia meets every Monday and Friday during Learning Center (2:05-2:50) in Ms. Menard’s room (room 125).
How to Submit to Breccia
Submit your writing and art pieces, as well as your art for the website header contest, by emailing them to:
Sometimes submissions from PPS school accounts have trouble going through. If you think Breccia didn’t get your email, ask a teacher to send it for you or ask a Breccia team member!
Enter our Short Story or Poetry Contests
Winners will receive $100, $50, $25 respectively. Winning submissions will also be featured in the Breccia Magazine 22-23 edition!
