Deering Senior Creates Painting for a Purpose Video

We are excited to share with you our new Painting for a Purpose video featuring students sharing stories about their experiences working on service learning projects. Viewers will also learn how to apply for grants which are open to all students in the Portland Public Schools K-12.
We are deeply grateful to Deering High School junior
Ladislas Nzeyimana, our talented videographer and Burundi native,
who spent more than a year creating this four-minute video now posted on our website:
Special thanks also go to the students whose creativity and inspiring community initiatives are featured in the video and to Painting for a Purpose co-founder Tina Edwards who served as moderator.
We also extend our appreciation to DHS technology teacher Larry Nichols and PFP board member Anne Fisher who served as advisors on this project.

Left to right, Deering junior Ladislas Nzeyimana, DHS Principal Gregg Palmer
and DHS technology teacher Larry Nichols celebrate the completed production
of Ladislas' video for Painting for a Purpose.
