The 147th Deering High School Graduation ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11.00am.  We are delighted to inform you that the ceremony will take place outside on our own Memorial Field, which allows us to honor our seniors and to welcome their families to our campus. The rain date will be Friday, June 4, 2021 at the same time.

The ceremony is only open to the graduates and their immediate families, and no other Deering students or community members will be admitted. We are able to accommodate immediate family groups of up to ten (per CDC guidelines) for this occasion. Please complete the 2021 Graduation seating request form  linked here by May 14, 2021.

There are a number of CDC regulations that have to be followed by all participants attending or participating in the ceremony.

  • Families will sit together in groups, and the required distance must be maintained from those around them on the bleachers.
  • There will be no family interactions with the graduates during the ceremony, and a professional photographer will be taking individual pictures of all graduates.
  • Families will be asked to wait outside the stadium until all members have assembled, and should enter together as a complete group.
All students, staff and guests must wear a mask at all times from the moment they enter the school campus.
  • Following the completion of the ceremony, families will reunite with their graduating students outside the stadium.

We will be sending out more information prior to this exciting event, but wanted to share this now so that you can begin to plan for it. This has been a long year for the class of 2021, but we are thrilled that it can end with all the students graduating together on our own Deering campus.
