Jobs for Maine Graduates

Jobs for Maine’s Graduates (JMG) is a non-profit organization who partners with local schools and businesses to help students attain post-secondary credentials and pursue meaningful careers. JMG students have been identified as having multiple barriers that often put them at risk of not succeeding in school. JMG specialists advocate for these students and act as mentor, guidance counselor, career coach, and educator, providing a curriculum that incorporates job skills, leadership and team building, communication skills, and financial literacy. We coach students to discover their individual talents, develop skills, and seize opportunities to achieve their personal potential. Our focus at Deering High School this year has been on job attainment, leadership and self-development, civic awareness, career exploration, education and career pathway planning, personal skills, and community service.
