Our neighbors and local businesses, including Big Sky Bread Company and Noble Pizzeria & Barbecue, came together to provide an incredible week of food and support for our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. 

Our community is invited to gather at the Clinton W. Graffam Auditorium on Thursday, May 28th, at 6:00 p.m. to recognize the Class of 2026 and celebrate the meaningful impact these students have made during their time at the high school.

Deering High School claimed top honors and a $500 award at the 2026 Maine App Challenge by contributing over 50% of the total submissions with the support of Mr. Jonathan Graffius. 
 

Last Friday, City Hall hosted a multi-floor exhibition of Deering student artwork, skillfully guided by Ms. Emily Serway, Mr. Chad Hart, and Ms. Kathryn Carlisle, as part of the historic First Friday Art Walk. 
 

Deering High School’s Model UN and debate leaders demonstrated the power of civic engagement by moderating a historic gubernatorial forum, where they challenged Maine’s candidates with rigorous questioning on the state's most pressing issues. 

Driven by the initiative and professionalism of our student leaders, Culture Day transformed every floor of the campus into a proud celebration of heritage where students took the lead in inviting the community into a vibrant, global experience. 

On April 16, 2026, Deering High School celebrated the academic excellence and character of its students by honoring 21 Junior Book Award recipients and conducting the National Honor Society ceremony to recognize current senior members and induct 19 new student leaders from the Class of 2027 .
