The Deering High School Science Olympiad team traveled to Los Angeles and won the prestigious National Spirit Award along with a $2,000 prize for their outstanding sportsmanship, character, and team integrity.

Deering High School secured its second consecutive "Best Large Delegation" championship at the Maine Model United Nations conference, leading the state with 47 delegates and earning multiple individual honors across intense global debates.
