Deering Family,
As we approach the holy month of Ramadan, we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and honor the significance of this time for our Muslim community. Ramadan is a time of reflection, prayer, and self-discipline. It is a time when Muslims abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sunset. It is a time when loved ones come together to break their fast after sunset, share meals, and engage in acts of charity.
As members of a diverse and inclusive community, it is important that we recognize the importance of respecting and honoring the practices and beliefs of all individuals. For our Muslim students, the month of Ramadan is a sacred time.
Let us use this time to come together, learn from each other, and embrace the richness and diversity of our community.
May this Ramadan be a time of peace, unity, and spiritual growth for all.
