Jonathan Graffius, Deering High School computer science and technology teacher/building technology coordinator, is the New England Region winner of a Computer Science Teaching Excellence Award from the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA).

CS Teaching Excellence Awards recognize outstanding teaching by K-12 computer science teachers. Winners excel in inspiring students to explore the computer science field, engaging students in learning rigorous standards-aligned computer science content, and broadening the participation of underrepresented students in computing.

Graffius received the award, which is for the 2023-2024 school year, on Nov. 2 at the CSTA’s annual meeting held at Boston University.
