Deering High School, please join us in extending a warm welcome to Ms. Melissa Labbe, our Interim Principal! As you know, Ms. Noor is on medical leave, and Ms. Schouvieller is enjoying her time with her new baby, Silas. To ensure a smooth continuation of our school year, Ms. Labbe, alongside Mr. Burnap as interim Assistant Principal, will be leading us. Ms. Labbe brings a wealth of experience, spanning over 30 years in education, including vocational, middle, and high school levels, as well as five years at the central office as a district math leader and summer programs coordinator. Having been a part of the Deering High School family since 2001, with a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Maine Farmington and an MSEd in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from the University of New England, she is deeply committed to our success. Currently pursuing ESOL certification, Ms. Labbe's focus is on supporting both students and staff in creating a vibrant learning environment where passions are explored and purpose is discovered.
