Join us on Monday, May 4th, at Rowe Elementary School for a candidate meet and greet at 5:30 PM, followed by the formal forum from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. To ensure this event is accessible to all families, Portland Public Schools and Parent University will provide child care, interpretation services, and refreshments.

With ten gubernatorial candidates confirmed, this forum is a major event of the 2026 election cycle, focusing specifically on the critical issues facing Maine’s public education. Hilina Gugsa and Noah Rasheed will chair the proceedings, while Charlie Dibble, Vanessa Orellana, Ryan Roarty, Rachehny Rasmey, and Abdulkadir Munye serve as panelists. These students will lead the dialogue, asking the tough questions and providing vital context from Portland’s perspective.
