Generous contributions from local businesses are vital to enhancing the experience of our Deering High School students, particularly when it comes to providing healthy and appealing food choices. Andrew Wilkinson from North Coast Seafoods perfectly exemplified this spirit. With the assistance of Interim Assistant Principal Mr. Jeff Burnap, Andrew offered our students and staff a sample of their Kelp Burger meatballs – a creative vegetarian burger option. The consensus on campus was clear: they were tasty and enjoyable! This initiative was especially timely, arriving just before our senior goodbye BBQ, allowing us to proudly offer both beef and vegan options. We are incredibly grateful for such needed and generous support; thanks, Andrew, for visiting Deering and sharing such a great product!
