On a day when the entire Deering staff gathered to connect, Assistant Principal Jeff Burnap led a powerful exercise. He guided the team in an introductory circle where each person shared a word describing how they were feeling. This was an exercise that unified Deering staff even more! 

This gathering also continued a cherished Deering tradition: the presentation of the Deering Star trophy. This award, passed weekly from one staff member to another, recognizes exceptional effort and character. This week, we were excited to see Anais Aguirre present the trophy to Mr. Burnap himself. He was honored for rolling up his sleeves and helping the school with care as we started the new year.
