As the 2024-2025 school year drew to a close, the Deering staff came together to share in an appetizer potluck and cake, creating a warm space to pause and connect. Amidst the delicious spread and easy conversation, we took a moment to honor the contributions of our colleagues moving on to new adventures, including the retirement of math teacher Mr. Joel Smith and the departure of our principal, Dr. Jake Giessman. It was a time for genuine connection across departments, sharing stories from the year and looking forward to summer adventures. Reflections of our shared year ran through every conversation, mingling with a genuine excitement for what the 2025-2026 school year will bring.
