Taking Spanish class at Deering High School offers fun, interactive ways to learn about culture. For instance, teacher Reva Eiferman's Spanish & Culture class hosted 'Los Festivales'. During this event, students presented on different festivals celebrated throughout the Spanish-speaking world. To make the learning more engaging, each student created something representative of their chosen festival to share, including preparing and sharing traditional foods associated with the celebrations. This hands-on approach brings the culture to life right in the classroom.
