Earlier this month, Deering High School hosted its 2nd annual Red Cross Blood Drive, organized by Asa Tussing. With the help of Ellis Wood, Peter Rank, and Noah Rasheed, the event ran smoothly, attracting dozens of students, faculty, and community members. The Deering High School gymnasium was transformed into a blood donation center for the day, where participants generously donated blood to save lives.
Asa Tussing's masterful planning and coordination were the driving force behind the successful blood drive. His connections within the school community and beyond enabled him to mobilize a significant number of donors. This initiative not only highlights the positive impact of youth leadership but also underscores the importance of blood donation in saving lives. Deering High School and the Portland community are grateful for Asa's efforts and the generosity of all who participated.
