Last week, Deering High School welcomed 8th-grade students and their families from Portland Public Schools to explore our vibrant campus. The historic auditorium was filled to capacity as Dr. Jake Giessman and Ms. Rebecca Schouviller, our administrators, shared insights into the Deering experience.
Following the welcome, students and families embarked on self-guided tours, venturing through all four floors of our campus. Classrooms representing various academic concentrations were open for exploration, allowing students to envision themselves as future Deering Rams. The halls buzzed with excitement as students and staff connected, sharing stories and information.
The open house is always a highlight of the year at Deering! We're proud to be part of this collaborative effort with other Portland Public High Schools to welcome the Class of 2029.
