Shawn Kennedy, Laurie Medieors, Aley Watts, and Colleen Demers, the school counselors at Deering, meet with students in a variety of ways. Most of the time it is one-on-one, but there are also large whole-class meetings to discuss the big picture of what the next season of our students' lives could be academically. One day in November, counselors met with the junior class, 11th grade, to go over what to consider for their future after Deering and what the options might look like. It was an informative time full of support for our students. Our counselors are readily available to talk about the options and to help students figure out some possibilities.
