Class of 1959 Supports Deering Students with Generous Donation

In a heartwarming gesture of generosity, the Deering High School Class of 1959 recently donated $3,500 to their alma mater. Class President Tom Chittick and former Basketball Captain and Student Council member Tom Foley presented the check to Principal Dr. Jake Giessman in his office. The class expressed a desire for the funds to directly benefit students, a sentiment echoed by Dr. Giessman and the Friends and Teachers Organization (FTO).

This generous donation will be added to the FTO account, providing much-needed support for teachers and departments that have faced significant budget cuts this year. The funds will be used to purchase essential resources and implement initiatives that enrich the learning experience for Deering students of today.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Class of 1959 for their generous gift. Their support will make a positive impact on the lives of Deering students.

If you are interested in donating or volunteering, please contact Principal Dr. Jake Giessman.
