Throughout the year, our 9th-grade team has been orchestrating impactful assemblies in the auditorium. These key events bring staff and students together to celebrate progress in school spirit, academics, and culture. We highlight achievements, prepare students for upcoming milestones like the transition to 10th grade, and share ways to enhance the Deering experience. These gatherings create a strong community and provide a platform for students to shape their high school journey. Recently, Principal Dr. Jake Giessman addressed the Class of 2028, underscoring the school's investment in their success.
The support of our 9th-grade team, including teachers and advisors like Jeff Burnap, Kathryn Carlisle, Rebecca Cohen, Meghan Donnelly, Reva Eiferman, Katie Flavin, Jonathan Graffius, Juman Hussein, Khadir Ibrahim, Tyler Jellison, Kristin Leffler, and so many others, is vital in crafting these experiences. We are proud of our 9th-grade students' progress and are committed to championing their success. These assemblies demonstrate Deering educators focus on student growth and the collective achievements that strengthen our school community.
