The Deering Players' 2025 Spring Showcase, emceed by Cyle Davenport, was a resounding success and a vibrant celebration of student-led theater. The evening featured a wonderful range of talent, starting with a scene from the Broadway hit Falsettos, co-directed by freshmen Clementine Enright and Isabelle Aden. The show continued with a creative adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, directed by graduating senior Rose Bolduc, and culminated in the premiere of "Speak Now…or Maybe Don’t!", an original piece written and directed by Ivy Varbanova. The entire production was a powerful display of student passion, skillfully supported by junior stage managers Merritt Holman and April Thompson, with Isabelle Aden running the light board and Charlene Zheng on sound.
What a triumph for the Deering Players! This showcase of Broadway charm, literature, and brilliant original work proves that the arts are a vital seedbed for leadership and confidence.
