UNE Lecture Inspires Deering HS AP US Gov Students

Earlier this month, Deering High School AP US Government and Politics students, along with their teacher Ms. Darcie Drew, attended a lecture at the University of New England (UNE) by local author Colin Woodard. The lecture, titled "Uniting a Divided America," was part of UNE's Center for Global Humanities fall lecture series. Before the lecture, students enjoyed a social hour where they had the opportunity to meet Mr. Woodard, UNE President James Herbert, and the Center's Director, Josh Pahigian. It was a valuable experience for our students to engage with political discourse and meet influential figures in our community.
