The Portland Press Herald shared a letter titled "Encouraged by the next generation" about a group of Deering High School students who showed a stranger great kindness and concern while at a McDonalds. The stranger was so moved by this act that they wrote a letter to the editor.
The letter ended by saying that the future looks bright because of students like these.
We are proud of our Deering students for demonstrating such compassion towards their community members, both on and off campus. Keep up the great work!
