Deering High School Pits Students Against Staff/Student "Sharks" in Invention Frenzy!

Ms. Mary Nance, economics teacher at Deering High School, transformed her classroom into a real-life Shark Tank!  Ms. Nance's class is taking economics to a whole new level, giving students a taste of the real world and the thrill of the pitch! Students weren't just learning economics, they were living it.

Imagine this: a panel of tough-as-nails investors, made up of students and staff volunteers, ready to grill students on their business ideas.  These weren't your average pitches – these students came armed with inventions and dreams, ready to face the "Sharks."

The "Sharks" didn't hold back. They fired off thought-provoking questions, testing the students' knowledge of their market, competition, and most importantly, their ability to handle the pressure. But our student entrepreneurs were no slouches! They came prepared, delivering impressive answers that would make any investor proud.

Check out the photos to see these future business moguls in action!
