Dear Deering High School Students and Families, 

I am truly honored and excited to serve as the next principal of Deering High School beginning July 1, 2026. Deering High School is a community I have long admired, and I am both grateful and energized to join you as we continue building on its strong foundation and shaping the future together. 

I was raised in a multicultural family in Chicago, and my experiences navigating languages, identity, and community have deeply shaped my values and leadership. As a multilingual educator and lifelong learner, my mission is to continue building a school culture grounded in belonging, high expectations, and care, one where every student, family, and educator is seen, valued, and empowered. 

I’ve been fortunate enough to teach, lead, and learn, in Chicago, Boston, and now in Portland. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctor of Education, which reflects my continued commitment to learning and growth as an educational leader. I am also a community member and resident of Portland, parent to two awesome PPS students, and spouse to an amazing Early Interventionist. I love the outdoors, hiking or in the garden, making music or art, and collecting sneakers. 

I am looking forward to the school year 2026-27 and embarking on this exciting journey together.
